Raffaele Izzo nasce nel 1994 a Sarno (comune in provincia di Salerno), nel sud Italia. Fin da adolescente si interessa al viaggio, spostandosi da subito nelle principali mete europee, a scoprire nuove culture e musica. Pur avendo una laurea magistrale in Scienze Filosofiche, conseguita nel 2019 presso l'Università degli Studi di Salerno, durante il periodo di studio del programma Erasmus+ a Potsdam (Germania) nel 2015, ha riscoperto una vera e propria passione per la street photography. Da autodidatta inizia a sperimentare e studiare questa branca della fotografia e comincia ad approfondirla. Ha lavorato come fotografo ufficiale per vari eventi culturali e collaborato con giornali locali come documentarista. Dopo la presentazione del suo reportage sulla storia di uno dei riti millenari, i “Paputi”, della sua città d'origine, venne pubblicata una fotografia sul volume di luglio 2019 del National Geographic Magazine Italia. Ha fondato nel 2019 “Streephers”, collettivo di strada che intende diffondere la cultura della fotografia di strada sui social network e nel territorio nazionale e internazionale, organizzando vari momenti d'aggregazione per i fotografi di strada, photowalk, chiacchierate fotografiche tra Roma, Napoli e Salerno. Dal 2021 lavora a tempo pieno come grafico e fotografo, intraprendendo un percorso manageriale in società calcistiche dilettantistiche e nella fotografia sportiva.

Raffaele Izzo was born in 1994 in Sarno (municipality in the province of Salerno), in southern Italy. Since he was a teenager he has been interested in travel, immediately moving to the main European destinations, to discover new cultures and music. Despite having a master's degree in Philosophical Sciences, obtained in 2019 at the University of Salerno, during the study period of the Erasmus + program in Potsdam (Germany) in 2015, he rediscovered a real passion for street photography . As an autodidact he begins to experiment and study this branch of photography and begins to deepen it. He has worked as an official photographer for various cultural events and collaborated with local newspapers as a documentary maker. After the presentation of his report on the history of one of the millenary rites, the "Paputi", of his hometown, a photograph was published in the July 2019 volume of National Geographic Magazine Italy. In 2019 he founded "Streephers", a street collective that intends to spread the culture of street photography on social networks and in the national and international territory, organizing various moments of aggregation for street photographers, photowalks, photographic chats between Rome, Naples and Salerno. Since 2021 he has been working full-time as a graphic designer and photographer, embarking on a managerial path in amateur football clubs and in sports photography.

- Article in the newspaper of Salerno and the province “La Città” dedicated to me and my shot, taken from the series related to the ritual of the “Paputi” of Sarno on 05/08/2019.
- In the August 2019 volume of EYE-Photo Magazine a whole section dedicated to me and a series of my black and white photographs.
